Splott Make Your Own Free Plants! / Sblot Creu Planhigion Eich Hun Am Ddim!

This workshop will explore how to take successful cuttings from your favourite plants with a practical session to 'have a go'!

After registration there will be a brief talk about the Growing Street Talk project and a short demonstration on how to make successful cuttings.

This will be followed by a practical session where you will be able to:

•   make new plants from cuttings

•   prepare a cuttings compost

•   plant up your new plants in pots to take home

We will provide a range of plants for you to take your cuttings as well as pots for you to use and take away. However, it would be great if you could bring along some of your favourite plants to make cuttings which you could give to other people. If you have spare pots, please bring these along as we can always use them!

Over a cup of tea and biscuits you will have the chance to meet other locals interested in the project and share your ideas for improving your front garden or street frontage and greening your street.

Children  are  welcome  but  must  be  accompanied  by  a  responsible  adult.  Children don't  need  to  be  booked  in  but  we  need  to  know  numbers,  so  please  email  us with  how  many  children  you  are  bringing.  We  are  limiting  tickets  to  two  adults per  household  with  ticket  prices  based  on  the  ‘pay  what  you  can  afford’  principle -  £2,  £5  or  £10.  All  proceeds  go  to  our  community  chest  to  support the project.  Any  issues  with  paying  –  please  call us on 07707 879 546.

Growing Street Talk is an exciting new project for people living in the Grangetown & Splott wards. The project delivers practical gardening workshops bringing residents together to improve their front gardens & make the streets greener, cleaner & friendlier. Growing Street Talk is run by UpFront Gardens CIC, supported by our community partners Keep Splott Tidy and Pentre Gardening Club and the Big Lottery.

Bydd y gweithdy hwn yn edrych ar sut i gymryd toriadau llwyddiannus o'ch hoff planhigion gyda sesiwn ymarferol i 'gael cynnig'!

Ar ôl cofrestru, bydd sgwrs byr am y prosiect Tyfu Sgwrs y Stryd ac arddangosiad byr ar sut i wneud toriadau llwyddiannus.

Dilynir hyn gan sesiwn ymarferol lle byddwch chi'n gallu:

•   gwneud planhigion newydd o doriadau

•   paratoi compost i'r toriadau

•   plannu eich planhigion newydd mewn potiau i cymrud adref

Byddwn yn darparu amrywiaeth o blanhigion i chi cymrud toriadau o yn ogystal a potiau er mwyn i chi eu defnyddio a'u cymryd i ffwrdd. Fodd bynnag, byddai'n wych pe gallech ddod â rhai o'ch hoff blanhigion i wneud toriadau o er mwyn rhoi i bobl eraill. Os oes gennych potiau sbâr, dewch a rhain i hefyd ceal eu defnyddio!

Dros gwpan o de a bisgedi fe gewch gyfle i gwrdd â phobl lleol eraill sydd â diddordeb yn y prosiect a rhannu eich syniadau ar gyfer gwella'ch gardd flaen neu ffrynt y stryd a gwneud eich stryd yn wyrddach.

Mae croeso i blant ond mean rhaid i oedolyn cyfrifol ddod gyda nhw. Nid oes angen archebu lle i'r plant ond mae angen i ni wybod rhifau, felly anfonwch e-bost atom efo faint o blant rydych chi'n bwriadu i ddod. Rydym yn cyfyngu tocynnau i ddau oedolyn fesul cartref gyda phrisiau tocynnau yn seiliedig ar yr egwyddor 'talu beth allwch chi ei fforddio' - £2, £5 neu £10. Tyfu Sgwrs y Stryd yn brosiect newydd a cyffrous i bobl sy’n byw yn wardiau Sblot a Grangetown.
